Friday February 9th

Laurel’s House of Horror presents – “Love is Blind” Haunted House  |Laurel. Join them for an Anti-Valentine horror-inspired Haunted House experience. Face your fear in a whole new way! Find your way through the cinema complex, uniquely adapted for Valentine’s Day.

Feminine Fire Friday – Self Love is a Verb | Lanham. Get ready to ignite your inner fire and embrace the power of self-love. This event is all about celebrating the strength, resilience, and beauty of women. We believe that self-love is not just a feeling, but an action, and we’re here to show you how to make it a verb in your life.

8 Ball After Dark: Let’s Connect |Bowie. For Black History Month, join DMV Does at Black-owned billiards and sports bar: Center Pocket. This curated event is perfect for couples, friends, girlfriends, and lovers to come play pool, enjoy good drinks, savor good food, and vibe, and make new connections. If you do not play pool, you can play table games and enjoy the live music.

Saturday, February 10th

Tribute to Phyllis Hyman & Roberta Flack | Upper Marlboro Wellspring Manor and Spa presents Tribute to Phyllis Hyman & Roberta Flack. Embrace an evening that celebrates love, legacy, and the timeless music of two soul legends! 

Kofi Nana Frimpong presents Drumming of Healing | College Park. Drum for healing, drum for skills, drum for fun. Join them every Saturday for an immersion into the drumming techniques of Ghana. Enjoy an hour of deep connection with soul, self, others, and the rhythms that are native to us all. Note: Drums are available at the shop if you don’t have your own.

PG Depart of Parks and Recreation presents a CELEBRATION of Black history and culture through line dance!  This revolution will NOT be televised! There will be dance, music, food and fun! Their dynamic instructors will teach you the latest line dance with music brought to you by DJ Rhythm Sounds.

2nd Annual Love at First Sip Cocktail Experience (Paint Edition) | Ft Washington. Hosted by Bar ISM LLC. Cupid arrow has struck again, Love at First Sip Cocktail Class Paint edition! Grab your Valentine or your Galantine & make Cocktails!

Ayo the MC  Presents: Galentine’s Day! | Beltsville An unforgettable evening celebrating friendship, love, and empowerment at her Galentine’s Day event! Get ready for an exciting night filled with music, laughter, and good vibes.

Yoga + Crystal Bowl Sound Bath at National Building Museum | Washington, DC (11 miles from Suitland). featuring an all-level yoga flow led by instructor Beth Wolfe, accompanied by a sound bath led by Mel of Beyond Yoga, a yoga teacher certified in crystal alchemy sound healing.
